SWIFT Fire Detection System from NOTIFIER Protects Challenging Applications

Installing fire detection systems in some areas of an Oklahoma City or Tulsa building can present many challenges. Running wire through concrete walls or decorative ceilings, especially where materials like asbestos are present, can be difficult, costly, and even potentially dangerous.

The strongest paths are automatically located within the network and unique mesh IDs in the SWIFT network prevent miscommunication.

“Hybrid applications where both wired and wireless detection can be used are perfect for SWIFT,” Mike Lynch, vice president of engineering for Honeywell Fire Systems, said. “If you’ve got an ornate interior that makes detector placement difficult, or places like parking garages where drilling through concrete is costly, SWIFT is the ideal solution.”
